The TNR Process

01

Preparation

Research cat colonies, establish a consistent feeding schedule to monitor numbers, and secure vet clinic appointments before deployment.

02

Trapping

Set humane box traps with attractive bait like sardines. Once caught, cover the traps with towels immediately to reduce the cat's stress.

03

Veterinary Care

Cats are brought to the clinic for sterilization, rabies vaccination, and an ear-tip for identification. They remain in their traps throughout.

04

Recovery

Provide a quiet, climate-controlled space for recovery. Cats typically need 24 hours to wake up fully and safely before being released.

05

Return

Release the cats back to their original colony location. Continue feeding and monitoring to ensure their ongoing wellbeing and safety.
